Something wrong

Well i was driving to school when all of a sudden i hear a weird noise and rpm's drop and car starts to slow down (but didnt turn off). i gave it a little gas and it starting backfiring a little, bogged out and died. no check engine light. now it will turn on for like 5 seconds (roughly and die again). checked timing belt and seems fine. fuel filter is new. could be fuel pump. anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

hmm...what's the spark like? could possibly be the ignitor..

haha sounds like mine turned out ni threw a freak rod bearing but right before started bogging like that i heard a knock knock...

sounds more like an ignition problem to me....of course i may be wrong. Check for spark.

Gotta her running. It was something easy :tongue:. damn nut on rotor came loose. gonna put some thread lock on tommorow. thnx for help

hope the screw didn't do any damage to the teeth. cause it also happend to me and i scrapped the distributer

that happend to me (coming home from school) comine around a corner about 5k rpm....i thought she was gone for sure :uhoh: . knock knock, cough and some odd ass sounds later :uhoh: ... :loser: the first thing i checked was the rotor in the dizzy. im glad that was all that happend.

when that happened to me, i was doin about 4500 - 5000 rpm, car bogged right out, and all i heard was BANG, BANG, wroom BANG BANG BANG lol

yea i drove like that for 15 - 20 mins to my buddys house and half way to the school lol
