Gas gauge problem

Hi guys, what's up!? Well, I've gotta question here. First of all, I've got a 1996 Cavalier with the 2.2 engine and an auto transmission. A couple months ago the gas gauge stopped reading accurately; it just moved however it wanted. But now it just stopped working. Now it marks as if the tank was always full. How can I fix this problem?

OK, thanks a lot in advance! :smokin:

my 93 z24 does the same thing everytime the needle passes the half marker on the gas gage. The needle will go where it wants, when it wants. I'll have a half tank and after 10 minutes of driving it'll be on E, then it'll go up to 3/4ths then back to half.
