my first post...Spoon Integra R (completed)

I didn't think a site like this existed until I ran into AF a while back. I guess car modeling is much larger than I originally thought. Very interesting. I see lots of exceptional work here. Haven't ever posted any of my own work here though. Here's one of my recent builds...

Standard Fujimi Spoon ITR kit lowered, painted Tamiya 'yellow' (i forget which one), rims/wheels are Stich mesh painted black. Sorry about the blurry shots, I guess they look better in the gallery section. I'll update these eventually. Enjoy...

I was suprised by the way they turned out. I wasn't a fan when they first arrived all chrome. For a change I sprayed the centers black, used some Pegasus tires, and was pretty satisfied with the results.

The headlights on this kit need Alclad or bare metal foil. Nothing fancy here on mine, just Alclad applied over gloss black. Once this stuff is on though, the lights just start coming together looks-wise. Then I carefully brush on the frames with flat black enamel and touch up with a fine-tip black permanent marker. Also I take the marker around the edges of the headlight lenses for added effect.

I'll be sure to post more pics of this and projects as they come up...

Honostly, the best integra I have ever seen. How did you get those headlights looking so good. Usually they look like crap in other peopl's models, your look AwEsOmE!! What's your secret?

Damn it!! Now that I have seen your ITR I have to go out and buy one just so I can can have something that nice looking on my shelf since I just LOVE the JDM Type Rs. Welcome to AF and I can't wait to see more projects from your table :smile: I love the yellow spoon look and built one from the Revell ITR kit and still love how it came out but you have just showed me how much better it looks in JDM style (only hate that there is no motor).
