Overhead console in 92?

Posted this question in the Silverado forum last week but got no replies.
I have acquired an overhead console from a Blazer/Jimmy with a trip computer that I want to mount into my 92 Sierra extended cab.
Will I be able to get the trip computer to work in my truck? (Looking at my Haynes) Would tapping into the speed signal for the cruise control or RWAL at the convenience center under the dash and/or the serial data from pin E on the ALDL provide the right signals it needs?
Only info I seem to be able to find is for S-series.
Thanks

I was going to install a overhead console. But there was some cuting to head liner weld in some brackets and some other stuff I was told I have to do. so i am still deciding on it.What does the s-series tell you.

you may be getting into more than it's worth
you find a better install using a console from a yukon/suburban or C/K truck
