Are there any known common Problems with the 03 and up model GT Tibs? Been looking at buying one.

Clutches wear out faster then normal or they are just cheaply made?

the clutches are crap... people are working on a lawsuit
sometimes the drivers side window motor will be a bitch ... sunrooof will crap out on you... the battery isnt the greatest.. but it works fine
alot of teh early 03 models had his problem
but the late 03 and 04 dont have any of these problems... well i havent heard of any

I have 04 and never experienced any problems, Hyundai had a recall on the sunroof motors and will replace them for free.

Hows the Shiftronic working? I hear its a manual stick shift w/o the clutch. Anyone know exactly how this works?

4spd, that takes a while for the computer to adapt to your shifting speed. Mine shifts on the fly from 4-2nd, but from first to second is kinda sluggish but otherwise it works fine, even when I'm out of the passes

Sure, but there are other preformance mods I want first, and when I'm driving hard I don't need to drop into first anyway...

shiftronic is just a automatic transmission that has a "cool" plus-minus button that allows you to pick when you want to shift. i could do the same thing in my mom's auto accord, by starting off in drive 1, and working my way up to drive 4.

really not a big deal in my eyes. i drove a friends mazda 6 with it, and thought it was shit.

I'll stick to my good ol' manual any day.

Ahh ok thats what i was after. Think Ill go with the 6 spd manual instead of the shiftronic. Thing i dont get is, if it works just like any other automatic then why make it sound like its so special. Getting people to pay more I guess. Quite dumb really.
