A/C Clutch Wiring

I've a 1999 Jeep Cherokee with an A/C that cuts out after 5 minutes or so. I think I've isolated the problem to the clutch and wiring harness, which doesn't necessarily make sense. I know the relay is picked and presumably sending 12v to the clutch. That only leaves the clutch and the bulky wiring harness. Is there anything in this harness? On my Jeep there is a ground wire and the two wires for the clutch that go in near the front then about a four inch bulky harness with one wire leading to the relay via a connector. This harness could simply connect one of the clutch leads to ground or there could be more there. Does anyone know? Is there something in there that could be overheating and causing the circuit to open?
Thanks for any help. GGK

Have you found out a solution for this yet?
My AC/Heat/fan does not work. If I go around a cornor or hit breaks, sometimes it will work for approx 1 minute. But then off again?
I have a 99 Jeep Cherokee Limited. Thanks for any help.
