i have a 93 nissan sev6 4x4 that i bought brand new. i have in the past 3 yrs spent 1700.oo on repairing the tranmissin, a replaced starter, had a hole in exaust manifold repaired i have spent more but those were the most costly. well anyways just got my transmission repaired. i am having trouble with my headlight for 8 months now. on high either one or the other will work. on low beam u have to just keep turning them off and on and hi and low. to get the 2 headlight to work. i think i know whats up there . i think i need to replace a switch thats on my steeruing coloum. autozone said 75.00. but now whenever i make a turn weather left or right ..usually a fairly wide turn wont do it . but my indicator lights on my dash light up. one is my parking brake light and the other is my abs light. when i first noticed it there was a 3rd light on the bottom left hand side that lit up but went out b4 i could see what it was. for the 1st 10 yrs it was great. alot of these problems are due to 10 yrs of neglect. i know someone out there can help...plzz help me.

Call a shop and ask what it will cost to inspect the wiring/electrical for shorts. Have you had an aftermarket stereo installed? Nissan's have very sensitive wiring.

I had a similar electrical problem that resulted from trailer light connecteor going bad. If you have a trailer light hook-up check to see if its hot after driving home from work one day. I just snipped my connector off and and capped the ends and my electrical problems quit.
