What is are the best upgrades to get the most torque and acceleration out of a Camaro and how much do they cost?

One little upgrade you could do to get better acceleration would be an aluminum driveshaft. It wouldnt make a huge difference but it would help the engine spin up faster.

I got mine for 250 canadian.

Gears are the best bang for the buck for increasing acceleration.

What set of gears would be good for acceleration. (I'm just kinda learning about cars now so any info will help)

Swap a rearend from a Z28. That would be the easiest option just make sure you get one with the right ratio.

Would it really be worth the time and effort to swap rear ends with the 80's caprice? do you think it would make a big improvement?

Wouldn't buying a gear set be easier then switching rear ends?

Well the only problem with switching a gearset is that if they arent setup properly, they will whine and wear improperly. If you just swap a whole rearend from a Z28, providing its doesnt have a ton of miles on it, its setup great from the factory and its way easier to unbolt a rearend then it is to swap gears. If you plan on paying a shop to do it then I guess it doesnt matter but unless they are good and will spend the time to set it up properly you could have noise trouble and stuff.

What would be cheaper, getting the rear end from a caprice classic, or just getting a posi?

Dont get a rearend from a caprice get the posi.
