car in storage - key lost - found key cylinder had been popped out - replaced steering column on advise of parts person, "easier than fixing the key cylinder" since there's no key for it and didn't know where to find the code. got it hooked up. everything works but car wont start. is there something else that needs to be activated having to do with a key code/transponder?

The key needs to be programmed at your friendly Ford dealer. Our local dealer charges $70 for the key and programming. I have seen it cheaper.

thanks a lot for the info. my ford dealer said the charge is $47. but since it has to be towed, that will add to the total. pretty expensive experience, but not as bad as some others i've been reading about, up into $450 and more! wow.
