new problem for 01 acura cd has read

My 01 Acura factory CD player has had no trouble--and still does not reading IBM CD-R's. I do not and cannot find them any more, and all others (Sony etc) seem to give it trouble. (Company recommends NO CD-R's be used!). Sony's will auto-start and play through, but will not go to selected tracks.
Any thoughts. ( The CD-R's all work elsewhere, and I have tried several makes and burn speeds, burners and computers.)

*add: and i always burn at the slowest speed.. sometimes only cd's burned at 2x or 1x work, actually, nothing recorded over 2x ever worked for me..

burn slower ^^^ but if it still gives you trouble get a new head unit... pioneer are my favorite... 2 cents
