Transmission Sluggish - 94 CAMRY

Hi... When my shifter is in either D or 2 when I start driving the automatic transmission seems sluggish. It is slow going until it gets enough speed to get to the first shift point. After that it drives normally. Also if I start driving with the shifter in L its also normal ( Plenty of power ). Now I don't know if its related but I noticed that my O/D light on the dash was blinking even though the O/D button on the shifter was pushed in. I'm thinking there might be some electrical problem or maybe a bad module somewhere... Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

The electronic overdrive needs service. This would be a very difficult job for the do it yourselfer, and should probably be done by a dealer service department, or a qualified shop.
