Looks, Sound, or Preformance?

Which do you think is the most important in a car; looks, sound, or preformance? Personaly i think looks is more important but what do u think? Please vote and explain why.

Looks personally. It could be the fastest and best sounding car in the world, but if it is butt ugly, I won't have anything to do with it.

Its all about the performance for me. Looks and sound is just only to pick up girls or to get attetion. But a lot of people would probably like to see how fast and well your car peforms on the streets or the track.

Has to be performance. If you don't perform, you won't get the girls! :grinyes:

I think all three are important. You buy a car because you love the sound of its v8... or the sound of the turbo spooling. you buy a car because its sleek, its a certain color. and you buy the car, because it was a blast to drive.


if I have to pick one, I would say performance. if it doesnt have that get up and go... whats the point of driving it.

performance. Cars were invented to get people from a to b quicker not look nice'n'shiny or sound like a f**king jet engine.

but...any car can get you from A to B. Might as well look good while ur doing it

or get there quicker. theyre all important but pERformance more than others.

maybe but a £/$5000+ bodykit and an extra loud silencer are nouthing without the souped up engine. i know someone with a fiesta with a £1000+ bodykit, a loud silencer chipped engine and neons but the engine is only 1.25 litres.everyone just laughs at him (including me). and also without performance cars we wouldnt have motorsport. (scary thought)

Looks and performance are both important for me.

But personally Id rather have a performance car over a good looking car.

No doubt in my mind... Perfomance is the way to go.

The main purpose of a car is to 'go'. If your car can 'go' a little more, then it's more of a car. :D

Although it is hard to classify a Skyline GTR as a sleeper I prefer to keep mine as stock looking as possible. Must be performance for me.

performance, definately, i hope were beyond paying thousands of dollars for something that just looks pretty. But what about COMFORT. Its nice too.

Haha, thats funny... and so true. I would say performance and looks. I love the way some cars look but sometimes they are slow and don't perform well. Other times ill see a car and be like 'damn thats ugly' and then it starts drivin and im just like 'damn....'

Seriously though, if you're not taking it to the track, who cares how fast it is. If I were to hook up my Maxima, it would be for looks and sound. It is as fast as I could ever need on the street, adding 100 hp would be useless; there is nowhere to use it except at the track.

Daily Driver: Looks, Sound
Track Car: Performance

Its all a matter of preferance. Personally, i dont think adding 100hp is ever useless. But like i said its all preferance, some ppl drive just to get from A to B, and some drive just for the ride. I love cars way too much to just make them look nice. They gotta perform.

i'm one of the few people i know that actually enjoys driving...based on that, i gotta go with performance.

With Alfa Romeo's you get all of that- Drop dead gorgeous looks, orgasmic sound and awe-inspiring peformance. Too bad they are so high maintenence :( (Meh, what Italian isn't?)

Performance. Who the hell wants a car that's all flashy with bumpin tunes that runs like a damn golf cart? Rusted out El Camino with a 600 hp big block? NO PROBLEM!

Definately performance. I would rather have a truck or a car that puts you back in your seat and makes your passanger curl up in the fetal position and chew their finger nails than a one that makes me look like a rich pretty boy. No pun intended.

i prefer looks. it doesnt matter what kind of car it is, it should look nice... even if its a mid 80s Tercel.

Performance. The car doesn't nessecerialy need to be fast, but if it can't at least double the recomended on/off ramp speed limit, I dont want to have anything to do with it.

i prefer performance, but i also want my car to look clean. nothing wrong with horsepower mixed with some gunmetal rims and a nice CF lip.

Pre Formance. I'm all about preformance.

Have you seen the body condition of my car? That's what makes driving a sleeper so much fun. All the rice boxes in the rear view.

Performance/Looks/Comfort - more or less equally important. Couldn't care less about sound.

Performance takes 1st on the list, but I also need the car to somewhat look good, and have some sound:p

Sound. Listen to an Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 from the cabin, you'll instantly know what I'm on about.

Looks are also important, I would rather drive a slow Honda with a sexy bodykit than a fast Aztek.

Performance is over-rated for anything but the track, but considering that cars sound best when going fast, it does have some bearing. I know how a car works, I know how to make one go much faster, I'm comfortable with that, I don't have to constantly bag people who put a bodykit on thier cars to feel better about myself.

The number one thing I go for is handling. My last two cars (Jetta and Civic) will tell you that- slow and ugly as fuck, but can corner like a bitch.

preformance. No doubt. I'd rather have my primered thunderbird with a V8, over, say, a thunderbird with a bodykit, and a system, but is only a V6.

Performance. Looks just talk the talk but can't back it up. Sound is pretty cool but nothing is worth good old performance. :smokin:

The only difference is you can get to the red lights faster.

Performance, my car still looks okay. But I'd rather have something that when you stomp on the gas, it responds. Not for street racing of course, but to merge, and get around the occasional moron who feels he has to do 50 in the fast lane.
