Sliding Power Door will not open with interior switches or Keyfob

I have a 99 Sienna and can not open the power sliding door with either of the two interior buttons or with the remote entry key fob. The power door will open via the outside handle or the interior door handle push button (which releases the latch). Once the door is opened the interior buttons or keyfob will close the door. I believe that the problem is the actuator in the door that engages the release (not the power door lock actuator) or its somewhere in the circuit. I can not find the detailed wiring diagrams and the Toyota show wants $80 to diagnose this,, and said that if it was the actuator assembly that its roughly a $350 labor and $200 part bill. (Or could be over $400 for parts if its the computer or >$1000 if the power door motor assembly is the problem.)

Does anyone know of a place to get the diagrams> I tried ALLDATA.com but they do not list the 99 Sienna.. and Toyota wants a few hundred $$$s for their manuals..

Thanks,, Tony

My 2001 Sienna won't operate with buttons or handles. It will open if the unlock and door power door buttons are pushed simultaneously (with the exact timing, sometimes take a few tries). Toyota says it may be the lock actuator and will cost $850 and may or may not fix the problem. When it was still under warranty I had the van in twice before for power door issues.

Any suggestions.

Tony, you might try Techinfo.Toyota.com. Its a website that deals with Toyota repair manuals and wiring diagrams. I have not yet used it myself but they only charge $10 for a full day of downloading. My power slider locks whenever I try to open it so I have been considering downloading door info and more...

Good Luck
