I was dricing down my driveway, and i live in a very rural area. The driveway has several large bumps, i hit a bump and my foot popped off the gas and the pedal snapped back. The high tension wire taht connects to the pedal and controls the acceleration popped out of the pedal and the accelerator is dead. It doesnt work at all. i cant figure out how the pedal is supposed to connect. Can anyone help? By the way, its a Stick Shift 4 speed transmission 1985 model Cheyv S-10

Hey guys i managed to fix the problem, in fact the throttle linkage hadnt slipped off the pedal, but the carburetor instead.. On first in spection of the engine i hadnt noticed. I took a closer look and traced the throttle linkage and found out it it was connected correctly.
