Today I welded on my seat belt retractor mounting plate and I now just have to grind down the welds on it, and get some red paint to blend it all in. Heres a before, during, and now shot...

And now how it sits...

The black paint is POR-15. Im not a fan of bondo really so I butt welded all my panels because I dont like overlapping the metal and creating a pocket in there for moisture to sit.

that was some nasty cancer ya had growin' there.. Almost looks like it started on the inside??

Not a big bondo fan either.. But once ya get some red paint to match, it should look pretty good

This is my favorite picture from them all. Too bad it was dark outside and you cant see much through the hole because it would have been kinda funny I think.

Im not new to it but im not highly experieneced. Those are just shitty tack welds anyways, anymore and you will just burn holes in the metal.

I grinded it all down smooth with a grinder before I painted.

Ya that and the fact that I gave up using the mask and just held the lens with one hand. Half the time I just looked away and it was a shitty flux core welder and if the surface is remotely dirty it wont even spark up.
