Damn, Think I changed my mind again. I dunno. I'm thinking I'm not selling my Cav after all. I need to know what engines I could drop into my Cavy. I need something that lines up with the tranny, or that the tranny made for the motor would line up, you get the point. I want a significant power increase. It doesn't nessicarily have to fit the motor mounts, because I can draw up new ones and have them machined. Thanks.

Does the 3.4L line up?? I'm not sure, I know it does for the 2.8L, it is a direct replacement. Other than that I would build a good stout motor and run ass loads of nitrous. For around $5-6 grand you could have a relatively fast car(for a front wheel drive 6 cylinder) Gotta upgrade the suspension a little though because torque steer sucks.
Good Luck

Man I hate people who only have Nitrous on their car and think its bad. Nitrous is for wussies who are too lasy to add performance parts the REAL way. As of dropping the 3.4 thats retarted. First of all I hate transaxel 6 cylinders and second of all you can get alot more out of a 4 cylinder. The newer 2.4 and 2.2 have hella aftermarket support. There is no aftermarket support for a 3.4 or 3.1 for that matter. Just my opinion. :)

I don't really like the idea of nitrous just because it is just a temporary power increase. But hey, if ya gotta do something, why not?? If the guy likes his car, and really wants to do something with it, then go for it. I just think it is an easy way out.

I dont see what the problem with nitrous is. I'd consider it for the simple reason of racing people who have it, but other than that nitrous is too dangerous, i mean in settin it up, i've watched people crack blocks, launch the heads through the hood and other great shit because they dont know what they are doing, but if you know your shit it's definetly nice to have, even if you never use it, atleast you got it.
