okay my car is leaking oil, and i think it's only doing it while i drive. i have a few questions about this... 1) if the oil leak is somewhere accessible, can it just be patched?
2)when i pull my dipstick out, there's a little smoke coming out, which i attributed to not enough oil in there, but does this tell you anything else?
3)i've always had a slow oil leak, it's just really, really faster in the past 2 days. a while back i got a new oil pan/gasket, and they told me there was also a little oil leaking from under the timing cover, but i didn't have that fixed. i looked in my haynes trying to figure out what that means or where it's located, but couldn't find it. what is a timing cover?

There was recall for 5gen accords to install retaining washer on balancer shaft seal. without that washer balancer shaft seal can slide out which will cause massive lost of oil.

i'm assuming i'm way past the deadline for that, how do i check to be certain? and another thing, my car is also shaking pretty hard when i'm not accelerating, so i was just checking some other problems as well, and i went to check my spark plugs. well, the first two were pretty shitty looking, went to remove the one all the way to the right, and oil came out!!! why the hell did that happen?

i have an idea for you, i noticed that my oil pan gasket needs replacing, and i only have 68k miles on my 91 accord. check that first before you start assuming the worst. who knows, it could be something as simple as that, but if i were you that would be the first thing i would check

how would i check? just raise it and wipe everything off? i get the feeling that it leaks significantly more when i'm driving. when i look under there i can see there's oil all over the pan.

how do i swap the gasket? do yuou just remove all those bolts holding it on and swap it? seems easy enough. do i have to special order the gasket or are they @autozone /napa etc?

you need to remove timing belt cover in order to see if your oil leak caused by balancer shaft oil seal. its not very hard to do, but you might have hard time removing crankshaft pulley, if you never done it before.
if you close to timing belt replacement time you should consider replacing oil seals and install retaining washer on ballancer shaft seal.
