see...heres the thing. a new 2005 WRX has a retail price of 26K. On the web ex. KBB.com or Ebay -- you can get a Sti Maybe with a couple thousand miles on it for the same price...I dont know about you but it sounds like a bargain to me. All im worried about it how much the difference in insurance will be from a reg WRX to a STi...

But you're comparing MSRP of a new WRX to a used STi. You can get a WRX with "a couple thousand miles on it" for under $20,000.

yeah true. Most WRX's with around 30K miles on them still are close to $20000, and those are the 2002's and some '03's. So we've ruled buying a used older WRX out -- i mean you can get a 2005 for a little bit more; so why not?... i'm starting to think about pressing for a 2004 STi w/ a few miles for the same price as a new,slower..., WRX.

Get a GC8, they're sexier anyhow.

The MSRP isn't usually what vehicles sell for...at least around here. The MSRP might be 26k, but they're going for 22-24k here on average. I'd rather buy new if I can anyways...that way I know how the car's been driven and that it's been broken in properly. Plus, if you don't pay cash, your interest rate is lower. You'd still end up paying more for a used STi even if the sticker price was the same as a new WRX. It might not be a whole lot more, but it's still more. Then the insurance too :screwy:

i feel see what you're saying... I can probably mod a WRX easier for the difference of the price.
