im getting bored of my civic :uhoh:

its the car i have been after for the last 10 months but i think im just getting bored of it now, yes its quick and yes it looks ok , but the ride is awful, rust is coming through , it is hard to mod, it might just be a phase im going through but i cant see me having the car after the next 6 months :disappoin

you damn Europeans! LOL... My wife has a Passat 1.8T but alas no Q (quattro) and it's rather huge... but that's what Americans get big lunky ShitUVs and trucks and such. Why can't they sell the Audi A3 here????? If I'm not mistaken it's Audi's hatch and it kicks major ass and I want one. The USDM VW GTI VR6 just doesn't cut it. So I'm with Jim, rock the 4th gen (well, 2nd gen CRX) Honda and live with it, because the ladies get what they want, and we have to keep reading codes and doing mods.... :lol:

i do like the civic its just a bit rattly and crappy after a while, i want a bit of comfort with me doing 20k MILES a year on BAD roads , the speed wears thin after a while coz u cant use it anywhere :(

I just re-researched and the S3 is the one I like. But even if the states do get a Audi hatch we'll get the A3 and not the S3... sound somewhat familiar... type-s or Si and no type-r... ugh...

the S3 is a monster kicking out 221 BHP and 0 -60 figures in the six second mark!

however they are MAJOR money to buy here and insurance is stupid, the A3 T sport quattro is 180 BHP which isnt bad and has 0-60 of 7.3

My wife's car has the same engine and an Audi computer but when that timing belt needs to be replaced again, by jesus, I'll be damned if we're going to shell out a grand for that. Thank God the car is paid for. I've actually considered a Honda hatch automatic for her with maybe putting in a ZC or something for some extra horses... I don't know...

yeah the VW's passat's use the same engines , as do the golf's , Seat Ibiza's, and the TT however the TT is higher tuned

all of our civics' do stuff like that....our cars are 13-15 yrs old mate. it's part of the charm of driving a 4th gen.

I got rid of my crx with b16 for the similar reason. The rust was getting worse and i just didn't want work on the body. But now i'm leaining towards the Mitsu Evo 8.I want a brand new car for the main reason.

well for me, i plan on having my civic for at least 2 years, and i doubt i will ever have enough money for that much nicer of a car so might as well build what you got.

Ouch Jim. I know what you say about the rattles though - I still cant get rid of the ones in the hatch and sunroof of mine. Then again, I look at how faithfully mine has served me and I doubt I'll ever sell it, it might become a weekend warrior, but thats the worst (almost 275,000kms on it now).

I never understand the rust issues you guys seem to have though. My first gens never rusted and neither of my 4th gens have, despite the red GL coming from the Northern beaches. In fact I never see a 4th gen with rust in it or a 2G CRX for that matter. I have a feeling we may have got better rustproofing (although the SiR is an import so maybe the JDM ones got it too). Then again, Not that many places here get snow even though our temps go from extreme to extreme -3 to 46 degrees Celsius is what my poor beast experiences over a 12 month period. Then again, we don't throw salt on our roads I guess ;)

Keep it a bit longer mate - dont mod it up anymore, just enjoy it :) Then pick up an Audi or whatever, drive it a bit... and see if you miss the 4G. You might ;)

BTW - Acuras are for people that aren't classy enough to own Hondas (ie Yanks :D:D:D)

there are 2 places your honda will rust. 1) in the east where it snows more they throw salt down. 2) on the east & west coast line of course you'll get rust because of again, salt.

so there you have it. you don't have better rust proofing....you have lack of salt :thumbsup:

well im thinking of selling my rims to my bro and putting on some EK4 rims which i can get VERY cheaply with good tyres ,the suspension isnt liking these 17's at all and its doing my head in with the rough ride, wonder how much i can get for the rims :S , ami keep hold of the centre console for now mate, im dreading the cost of shipping for the skirts for ya too, a set of tails cost me $74 USD to ship , thjey onl weighed 3 kg!
