go to the exhaust section. Get a non-turbo downpipe...it is the same thing.

does anyone know what the hp gains on the shorty headers would be? what about the downpipe?

your hp gains wouldn't be that much prob gain 8 more hp and if you switch the down pipe all together you are looking at about 13 hp

does any1 sell 1 piece down pipe +headers.. like they do for the sohc?

a header is the same thing as a downpipe...'downpipe' is just used for turbo cars whereas 'header' is typically reserved for N/As. I wasn't aware shorty made anything for 3000gts. What you want is the "N/A downpipe" from 3sxperformance.com

the headers an the down pipes are 2 different things.. the downpipe connects directly to both the headers... i know 3sx sells the downpipes for n/a's but that doesnt include headers

Headers and Manifolds are the same thing.
Downpipes are the section after it, followed by the cat main pipes resonator and muffler.

I was wondering about the precats, are they part of the stock headers/the half of the manifold after the turbos? If so is that what this product eliminates? http://www.gtpro.com/productimages/big/precat.jpg

Oh how I wish I could find that exhaust diagram.
Those eliminate the pre cats After the turbos.
I think. I'm pretty sure. I'm almost positive.
heh hope that helps :P

do the headers bolt right into the downpipe? if so they eliminate the precats but not the main cat.

Man you guys are confused...maybe we were all taught different but im gonna lay down the layout for ya: It goes Exhaust manifold (manifold = pathway a.k.a. Headers), then downpipe (bolts to the header / manifold), then CAT, and CATBACK. Larger headers are your biggest/easiest N/A HP gain along with clearing out the rest of the exhaust system (cats, muffler), but law regulate against that.

Isn't that what we already decided?

Interesting, are the stock fenders made of metal?

Carbon fiber fenders used to be able to be found at carbon creations, however they're no longer there as far as i know.
3kgt has Dohc headers, their site is under construction atm though.
edit:\
Some CF fenders.
