I have a 95 Corolla and would like to know which motor mount is the first to wear out. Thanks!

on my car, the passenger side mount wore out first(near the washer fluid reservoir.

I talked to quite a few mechanics, and they all told me the side mounts almost never need to be changed. My engine cluncked alot, i changed the rear mount (you have to drop the support crossmember[the steering rack is in the way]) and the engine was much smoother. On the front mount, I jacked the engine up on the oil pan, and stuffed in hard packing foam in the spaces within the donught(its a rubber ring with the through bolt in the middle), now the engine is perfectly snug

I have had to change the passenger side mount on two different cars. The funny thing is, the mount did not look bad, there was no visible play. Because of this, I changed the front mount first and it did not help at all. But I was told that the rubber hardens on the side mounts and lets more of the engine vibrations be transmitted to the rest of the car. It sure did the trick on both cars to stop annoying vibrations.
