83 civic wagon ZC swap

Hey All,

I just read the post on the B16 into a 83 civic, which I'm sure used the axels that mated up to the matching B16 tranny.

I'm in the process of dropping a ZC motor and tranny into my 83 civic wagon and need to find out what axels to use?
Through my research I've heard that 90-93 Integra axels work the best with the ZC tranny... but I would like other opinions. Since none of the said swaps were going into a 2nd gen civic.
Also, I was wondering if I'll need the SI radiator/fan and fuel pump?

If anyone out there knows please drop me a line or a post. Also any other helpful input or site references would be greatly appreciated.

Any info cvcc wagon?

i don't think the outer spindles will fit into the civic knuckles and the 90-93 integra will be a lot wider so you are going to need custom axles. in most areas there are custom CV/Driveshaft places which can make any length with any spindle on the end so i would suggest getting some accurate measurements of your setup once you have it all together and use those to get a set made. you can probably just bring in a set of the integra and civic cv's and have applicable parts used off of each.

i am not 100% sure that the integra spindles will not fit into the civic knuckles so you should actually go ant try one to make sure, if it does fit it's just a matter of getting the shafts made shorter for the narrower car.

You can get a ZC (or any d series) to fit in a second gen civic by using the gearbox out of a 4th gen crx or civic(88-91).These can use STOCK axles. Make sure its cable-clutch and shaft shift and you should be fine.
