1992 Trooper 4WD Front Hub removal

Need to replace rotors on front. Never did one with auto 4WD hub in front of rotor. Removed wheel, caliper, took off bolts that attach rotor to front of hub (6xBigger bolts). Remove 6xsmaller bolts that keep 4WD hub cover in place, pulled that off to discover greasy washers and springs, no clue, what now. Do I need a special tool, how do I remove these washers and springs to get to the spindle nut, I suppose.

I had the same problem. The sorry Chilton's conveniently skips how to use the spindle tool to remove the hub.

Did you figure it out? I'd sure like to know how to remove the hub.
