Initial D seasons?

I have been picking up the tokyopop initial D DVDs im on battle 5 now. So thats almost half way through the 41 shows (13 DVDs). However I hear people talking about tak getting another car and such but I dont see how they can fit that all into 13 DVDs. I mean im not even up to his motor swap yet. So is there going to be another season coming out from tokyopop? How many episodes are there so far in Japan?

There are three seasons so far.

You're watching season 1, which has 26 episodes. The second season is only 13 episodes.
The third season will be 14 episodes, but only four have been released so far.

There are two movies. One takes place during the events of the second season. The other takes place between the second and third seasons.

I only by the Tokyopop manga, so I don't know how far along they are. I'd guess that they haven't finished the second season yet.

Yea only 6 DVDs are out. And there is 3 episodes per DVD. So yea im on episode 15 guess. Tak never gets another car though? I was reading manga perviews and I thought I read about a new car some where. Maybe it was bunta then.

Or you can realize that the massive Tokyopop licensing deal was the funding that put Fourth Stage onto Japanese TV screens, and that major American TV networks screwed T-pop into making the alterations they made, and that T-pop charges at a net loss per disc for Initial D (about $5 less than anime industry standard for a 3 episode per disc series).

In otherwords, shut the fuck up tetsuya. You have no idea what you're talking about and if you'd like to stay around here a bit longer I would highly advise against promoting piracy on AF.

There's a difference between pointing people towards a better bargain and promoting theft. Initial D is a licensed series. Ergo, fansubs, scanslations, and any other non-Tokyopop copies save for legitimate Region 2 DVD's out of Japan (which are, by the way, more expensive than U.S. DVD's) are highly illegal.

Fansubbers still trading Initial D fansubs should be locked up, not celebrated.

Yeah. The second season picks up with the Emperor team.

Its like this... Initial D 1st Stage - 1 - 26 Ep.
2nd Stage - 1 - 13. Then there is 2nd Stage - Extra Stage which is a movie. Which has to do with the sil80 races an emperor team member on usui pass. Then there is 3rd Stage - Another Movie where Tak races Emperior with his new swap. 4th stage where Project D is underway. 4th Stage only has 4 eps.

Well you were right. But fourth stage doesnt only have four episodes. They next episodes probably arent even out yet. It cant be over. They havent had the Project D battles on Tschu against the guys in EVO's. I know for a fact Keisuke loses. Cuz of an oil spill on the track he hits it and loses. But theres alot more stuff to come in Fourth Stage

that guys on crack, who in their right mind would have stage four for initial-d come out at one of its highest times, in terms of popularity, have only four episodes? sure stage three only had 1 episode but that was a movie not a series. stage four has a lot more than four episodes coming out and it'll go on throughout the year. the 5 and 6 episodes are suppose to come out this month i last heard, haven't seen anyone talk about it lately though.

oh ok... i wanted to see the rx-7 and the teg run, i was hoping there was more eps.

haha yeah I wanna see Keisuke lose to that blond guy in the EVO I wanna know what exactly happens. Yeah and the RX-7 and Integ might be just like the race between the RX-7 and the GTS-T M in the previous episodes. They just might not show the race

i have 1-26 which are the.. FD, r32, eg6, sil80, fc then i have the movie which whe takumi gets his engine swap and etc. then the extra stage about the sil80 ..am i missing something here? im confused :/

i think your missing second stage. you have first and third and the extra stage. there is also a battle stage with just the battles in initial-d then there is also fourth stage which is currently on pay-per-view in japan. second stage is all about the emperor team.

Yeah I was a little confused when he said that. I was like wha? Huh? But yeah. Everything duluth said is true. But, the only legal way of watching it is to wait for the rest of the stuff to come out in later years.
They should really let this stuff out everymonth. Instead of the such long waiting periods of each disc.

I would if I could!! But, its not allowed for me to live there. Cuz im not a Japanese citizen. Oh well, what're you gonna do? I couldnt handle going to school six days a week and get tutored on sunday if im doing bad in school.

uh, wrong. you can get a foreign exchange student thing going. if you are going to college you could apply. if you think yhou're too old some jobs can be done overseas. for example, teaching... requires a 4 year college degree.

Anyone here hear about the new episodes being released? If so is there like a convention that I can watch it at or something. Maybe someone taped it in Japan and wouldnt mind letting me borrow it?

Stage 4 is still airing in Japan. It's on a staggered schedule.

Your best bet is to do a search on the web for that. I'm currently on the 6th disc of the first season. I have to agree with you guys. It sucks that we have to wait so long for the disc to come out. Its like a 2 month wait in between.

Yep. Yep. Imma move my ass to Japan just so I can buy and watch the Initial D there. Its killing me!! The MANGA is frickin far. Plus its more graphic. I killed about 45 minutes just reading one. Thats a good ammount of time wasted on one book. Imagine getting all of them? How many are there. Well lets just say theres 10. 450 minutes of my life gone to reading. READING IS A FUNDAMENTAL. :D

If you cant wait for the episodes to come out read the manga. They're already towards the end of third stage. I dunno where they're going after that. Probably fourth stage? But the manga are way more graphic than the show. I love it.
