is the one from a b16a and a1 the same as b18a. (all the b series and the same right)

no they are not. it depends on the car it came from. If you get an SiR B16A (there was no B16A1 in JDM or USDM, only european markets got an engine actually called "b16a1"), then the shift linkage will fit on the EF chassis. Most b16s you get are from integra XSi, in which case are identical to the DA 90-93 USDM integra linkage, which is about 2-3" too long to use on the 88-91 civic/crx chassis without modification.
