Shifter question...

I'm looking at short shifters, but they all say sr20 only!!(or ca), but I heard that it really does'nt matter, that they will work on ka's also. WTF? Is this true?

Oh yeah, sorry, but I also wanted to know about lsd. It does'nt matter what the motor is right?
