Ls1

I can get a great a great deal on an LS1. Will that motor fit into my 96 1500? I am hoping so. The guy selling it says it only has 22000 miles on it. Which i can beleive because it came out of a Vet. I think close to 400hp LS1 may be just the add on i am looking for. But i am not sure if it will bolt up to the tranny. Also will the drive train be able to handle that much torque? Help!!!
