I might be getting a late 80's IROC and I was wondering what performance mods I can do to it to make some more power. It will be either a 305 or 350 TPI. I was thinking of a steath ram intake from holley, I dont know if those are any good. Thanx

i'm not a big fan of holley's aftermarket systems, especially fuel injection retro-kits, but to each his own.

spend your money on a pair of good heads, bump your injectors up to 22 or 24lb, change the cam, then get a custom burnt prom to make it all work better. then get some fresh cold air into the engine.

or get a vortech blower

Theres tons you can do to those cars. TPI kicks ass!

If its a 305 you will most likely want to stick with the long tube runner setup because its real good at making torque. If its a 350 you can get away with a stealth ram or a mini ram. You will loose some power down low but the engine will make more power up top and at a higher rpm.

Head over to www.thirdgen.org some real hard core Camaro guys there and anything you want to know is on that site. Excellent site. Really like those cars too.

wow, this is an opend ended question if i ever heard one, well, i suppose lets narrow down the feild, what are you using the car for? daily driver, strip terror, street racer, show car? how much are you looking to spend, and how much work are you planning on doing yourself? like, whats your skill level to work with.
