A few days ago I was cruising at about 60mph. I slowed down as a car turned from a side road when i accelerated my car died. i coasted to the side of the road and stopped. when trying to restart the engine, it will crank but not start. Had it towed home. When turning the ignition on i can hear the fuel pump come on, If I pour gas into the throttle body it will start for just a couple of seconds. This is a 2000 Grand Am with the 2.4 twin cam engine with under 24,000 miles on it. Before it died there was no check engine light, and no indication of any problems. With no shrader valve in the fuel line, how do you check the fuel pressure? Any suggestions will be appreciated!
