Headlight out.

I own a 1985 535i and today I took the inside left headlight assembly out and ran the tubing for the air filter up to the headlight. Any idea if this would actually help? It seems like I'm getting alot more acceleration.

might be of help if you were racing other 535i's but how will you see at night ? ? ?

Why would it only help if I were racing other 535is? Btw - I took the inside left out, I only have a light out if my high beams are on.. both of the outside headlights = lowbeams. The one single high beam is enough to light the road plenty but I just use lowbeams. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard about this or tried it themselves...

It would be some sort of lame ass getto forced induction beucase all the air that will be directly going in there at 55mph or how ever fast your going will be going into your engine that fast which will be alot faster then your OEM intake. So your engine is breathing more so you get a little bit more power. When I had a muffler on my benz the car was like a normal car but now that it rusted off and theres just a cat I get much more throtel response and faster excelerations. Pretty odd.
