i'm seeing and hearing about this damn thing all over the place.. the little resistors you put in the IAT sensor to trick the car into thinking the air's colder than it is.. therefore increasing the air/fuel ratio... or so they say.. does it seriously work? some people say it makes their car seem more powerful.. some say it isnt worth the time.. some say it made their car slower.. anyone got any comments?

go to RadioShack part # 271-1124 Pkg. of 5
4.7k-Ohm Resistor
1/2 watt 5% tolerance
Cost about $1.50
I have use this on three Z28's
2 LT1 & 1 LS1
All I can say is the LS1 did not like it at all... Made the car studder at times...
Both LT1 cars did like it however I would only put this mod in at the track if you live in the lower states... 100+ degs outside and the computer is reading its 48degs can't be good... If your car shows any kind of knock do not use this mod... Check with a scanner first...

I have this installed, and I havn't had any problems with it, it installed super easy just like the directions said, it's the little plug that pulls out by the fan, you put a resistor in there, and then we took a baloon and put it over that and then put a rubber band around that, works like a trooper... when it's like 87 and humid out, the car doesn't run perfect, but at night, i've had soem people comment really sweet thigns about how nice it runs

don't get me wrong, nothing's wrong with the car, it probably runs normal, but when it's cooler our that's wehre the difference is, by cooler i mean 60-70s, and when it's 40-60 it runs like a bat outta hell
