I'm looking for a universal muffler for my 96 eclipse, and just wanted to know the best ones out there. My car is an automatic, and looking for a loud deep sound. And could you tell me where to find it. Thanks you guys rule.

Is the car a NT or a turbo. Is there a reason that you just want a muffler and not a catback. If it is money then go with a GST muffler it will bolt on and you can get it fairly cheap

get a hammer (or a metal blade if you want it clean) and knock that bastard off :D

Get an OBX catback exhaust, you can find a full stainless steal catback for under 300 which is much better than just a cheesy welded on muffler IMO

If you don't care about money get a catback.. OBX is good (I have one :)) And if you really dont care about money then get a greddy evo2 :D

If you dont care about the money...get a manual GSX

On a more serious note, usually auto cars don't sound good with aftermarket exhausts

Hmm, why is the only solution to every n/t problem is just sell the car and get a gst or gsx. It doesn't makes sense to me and im not trying to bash but i hate seeing everyone just say drop your rs and gs and just go out and buy a turbo model. To be quite honest, I had bought a 98 Rs 5-speed from my uncle before he moved to Portugal for only 2 g's before my GST was totalled and im having nothing but fun with it, it's really a fun car that can get the ladies regardless of no turbo and only until now im going to start to mod it. But back on topic, IF you plan on puting a turbo in your gs then you should go with greddy or apexi BUT if you don't plan on going turbo then just save some benjamins and get an obx or custom made because no matter how much you spend on a catback exhaust for your gs, the gains will be minimal.
