Are '84 and '85 tranny's interchangable

I have an '84 Sentra with a bad tranny. Just came across a used '85 Sentra tranny. Both cars are manuals. Can anyone tell me if there are any differences between the '84 and '85 trannys. As far as I know, they are identical.
