Mustangs & Eclipses...

I have just about had it with seeing all of these Mustangs & Eclipses. they used to be tight but now everybody is getting them. what ever happend to being original? the whole point to show somthing off is to brag because nobody else has it. bottom line is dont try to act like ur King or Queen because you have a nice car if 1 out of every 10 people have one. if u agree or disagree please explain why.(and i know i have an eclipse in my pic, i just like the lighted tint)

I agree Stangs and Eclipses have lost some of their originality, they're about as common as civics anymore, but I disagree about them not being allowed to be proud of their car. If they like it enough to make the payments that's all that matters imo. I drive a 1990 Z24, its not worth much but I love it b/c its mine even though its not all that original.

Eclipses....fine. Civics....fine. Even cavaliers....fine (that one was tough). You don't see anywhere near as many of these as you do of the damned bacteria of the road that is the newer mustang. I wish they'd just GO AWAY NOW. I saw a Saleen today!! You're probably thinking, "so?"...I LIVE IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY!!!! Gimme a BREAK already!!! I'm fucking SICK OF THEM!! I even have to stare at the high end ones on my way to the store!!! It was good for a laugh, though..."ha ha ha...you bought a $45,000+ mustang!!...ha ha ha..."

Around my town Mustangs have always been around everyone has one. But I swear when I bought my car (eclipse) there was maybe 5 in my town and the surrounding ones. They were pretty rare. Then a year later, this summer, they are popping up ALL OVER!.. kinda pissing me off :P

I have to disagree.True,Mustangs are eveywhere but it's mostly v-6 mustangs.How often do you see an 03/04 cobra or a Mach 1 or a Roush,saleen or steeda mustang?

If anything, where I live I see alot of c5 Corvettes.They're everywhere.But I rarely see a z06 or a stingray or zr1 corvette.So I can't say I'm tired of seeing "corvettes" in general.

And no, is doesn't bother me if I see too much of one car because it just shows what the popular
cars are and what people like.If you don't see a certain car driven alot it's because majoriety of the people don't like it.If you have a mustang or eclipse and want to be different...Well then make it different.Getting a car that you don't see everyday
to be different is just getting a car that not many people liked.Expensive cars do not count.

not tru... i have no problem with ANY other car except the Mustang and Eclipse (mainly Mustang) that everybody rushing out to get. i say that originality get alot more points than just being another fish in the sea. ok, if the you saw a Dodge Viper on the street you would probably have some good comments on it and wish you had one. but, if you saw it on the streets as much as the Mustang, i doubt you would want it as much

Well your comparing seeing an $85,000 car with a $20,000 car.I don't like seeing civics and neons everywhere but people like them and they're popular.I rarely see a Geo metro or a Geo storm but thats only because they're not popular.I could care less If I seen them everyday or if I never seen them.Either you like a car or you don't.If you really like a car then you will always feel the same way about it and if you want to be different then customize it.Most of the mustangs and eclipse around here are customized in some way therefore different then the others... thefore I don't get tired of seeing them.Thats just me.

I EVEN SEE THOSE!!! I saw a saleen YESTERDAY!!! AND I LIVE IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! Gimme a BREAK already...modified, roush, saleen, steeda, whatever...still looks pretty much like all the other damned mustangs out there. I see Z06s a little more than rarely, too, but not very often and they are far superior to most cars on the road, so they're alright.

There are many many many reasons why you may see lots of a car...not just because it's popular. Cuz they're cheap, maybe just "luck"...who knows...WHO CARES why? The bottom line is you see way too many of them, they're kinda shitty cars, they're boring as hell, and I'm SICK OF THEM. Die, mustangs...

V6 Mustangs are retardedly pointless vehicles. They need to all die. I have a feeling that the second the 05' Stangs go on sale they will be even more common then the older ones. I like the style of the 05 model, and the engine in the GT, but I have this sinking fear that I'll be seeing more of those cars then I've ever wanted to.

Mk 3 Eclipses are also pointless vehicles. There are probably the worst car in its class. I have the same feelings about the Mk2s as I do about the 2005 Mustang, good car, too common.

The current v6 Mustang wouldn't have been so bad if Ford actually gave it a decent motor, like a 200HP+ DOHC 3.0L Duratec instead sticking with the near-retirement 3.8L v6.

I can't wait to see if Ford will put the 3.5L Duratec in the next Mustang when the motor comes out in 2006, or will they just stick with the SOHC 4.0L v6 (which isn't a bad motor).

Z cars are great, I love them too. They are good cars and they are not very common either.
But of course this is just my opinion :smile:

I think V6 mustangs (and mustangs in general) are too common and not for any good reason.
I had an 01 GT with about 10K in engine mods and rims. I liked this car and it was alot of fun. There are some mustangs out there that are very nice, like the one I had, but for the most part they are pretty boring.

And as for eclipses.........There aren't too many DSM era ones in my area. However, the 3G eclipses are becoming increasingly popular. I don't much care for those.

I must say, where I live (northern NJ) within the past coupel months i've seen as many if not more more 300zx's and 240sx's than mustangs. I'm sorta sick of them, most of em have old peeling paint and all that. But, it's all preference

i do think mustangs and the latest generation of eclipses are too common now. the GT/Cobra/other v8 models of the mustang are ok with me because they're pretty much a modernized version of the original mustang. the v6's are pretty much soccer mom vehicles that you can see over on the freeway.

as far as eclipses go, the new ones are everywhere and that's getting on my nerves, but the 95-99 ones aren't that common, and turbo'd versions are even rarer. the new ones are pretty much the same as the v6 stangs...really cool looking mini-vans.
