OK I haven't checked it out yet but I have a loud creaking noise every once in awhile in the front end. It sounds like the bearing strut plate. It only makes the sound when turning the wheels and normally at lower speeds. Anyone have this problem yet? Its a loud creaking sounds that sounds like its breaking lose binding up when turning. any Ideas before I have to get dirty?

Yeah it's probably your strut bearing plate. I've replaced both of my front ones.

Oh good I really didn't want it to be a tierod or something. Both of yours made a creaking and popping sound?

Yeah but it only happened after I dropped it and put on my STB. I'm thinking that the shop I had the springs put in at didn't do a great job.

Ive read that a few aleros ahve a bearing plate issue! Im going to try and hold out until I replace the struts. Besides haveing a stock replacment like monroe or something has anyone used any struts that have a more performance advantage? ie stiffer more enhanced for auto crossing I guess iswhat im saying. The car get driving very "spirited" very often! Thanks for nay input I get!

KYB struts are pretty good and a little bit stiffer than stock
