The speedometer on my 1992 GMC Safari XT doesn't work anymore. I replaced the transmission about a year ago. Could I have forgotten something when hooking it all up? It runs and drives fine and dandy, but I don't want to go to slow or get a ticket for doing too fast. Any help would be great.

Seems like noone knows anything about these things. Just adding to this post to keep it alive. I really need some help with this.

My 89 astrovan did the same, after i Changed transmision, spedometer, had intermitent fluctuations, and finally stopped on '0" it is electronic, I checked the fuses, cleaned all their conections and contacts, and problem disapeared, even all lights in panel and fenders became more intense, spedometer started to work perfect up to now 4 years after.
