smoke out the back

I have noticed that whenever I accelerate from idle (after sitting at idle for 15 seconds or more) in my 89 2WD Cherokee I get a nice cloud of gray smoke. I added Lucas when I changed my oil and that took care of it until about 2500 miles later, then it happened again. There is no water in the oil and I am not overheating. Any ideas?

it my be worn out piston rings allowing oil to get into the chamber. could mean time for a rebuild

Well, I solved this problem, turns out I had a leaking fuel injector, replaced that and while I was at it all the o-rings on the other fuel injectors and the valve cover gasket. Almost runs like new now! No more smoke!
