Clutch release Engine Noise

Hi guys,

I have purchased a 2002 Jeep Wrangler with 30,000 KMS on it. Before purchasing I have given the car to Jeep Dealers in my city to have complete checkup. They have assured me there is no problems in the car with a full engine report.

After driving the car for few days I realized that there is some slight engine noise. When the car is in halt the Engine has some rattling noise. Like which can be noticed. ONce I press the clutch the noise is gone and the engine sounds smooth with no noise at all. As soon as I releaase the clutch the noise starts (like grrrrr kinda stuff ehee)

Does anyone know whats the problem? What kind of noise can that be when I release the clutch and gone when I press it.

My car is still under dealers warranty so I can always get back to them if it is something major.

Besides that the car is in a very clean condition. Always maintained with the dealer.

Pls. any suggesstions would be appreciated ASAP.

Its probally your realease bearing inside the clutch. Once they get some wear on them most begin to make a slight rattling noise which usually will progress to high pitch squeaking noise before it goes out. Dont worry though mine has been making that noise for aobut 60,000 miles and is still running strong. It should be ok.

Had an 02 that did the same thing. When the clutch is engaged the transmission is turning over. Never had a problem with it.
