my poor baby is runnin so bad

ok the other night my truck was running like crap, its back firing, its got no power, its just runnin so bad its not even funny on how bad its running....

i took it to a shop they thought it was the fuel pump but its readin all the right psi and etc....and voltage and etc....

then they scaned it and they thought it was the mass flow but i luckly had an extra layin around so they tryed that, still nothing

any ideas? :confused:

its a 1996 chevy k1500 4x4 with 5.7, 165k miles, uhhh, tune up was done 150k hmmmm if yall need anymore info let me knw :confused:

could their be a timin issue? or???? theres all kinds of codes bouncin around and so.....ya

i had that same exact problem in my S10. Initailly we thought it was the cat. and it was indeed cloged like a mofo. after repalcing that it ran fine for about 3 weeks and then shat again. it turned out to be an issue with the ABS. No shit i saw the flow chart and the diagnostic. The ABS caused a missfire. Is your ABS light on. You may want to look into that.

I assume the SES light is on correct ?? Do you know what any of the codes are ??

i found out that my timing was off by -17 degrees....

im guessin thats bad?

with it bein off what kinda things would i excecpt? other than what i said from be4 and etc????

your timing should be at 0 degress plus or minus 2 degrees is ok. BUT YOU KNEW THAT FROM THE OTHER THREAD SOME ONE TOLD YOU ABOUT IT.

ya, the timing has be off for some time at least a year i think, but now it runs good and etc....all i gotta say is thanks to aamco transmission for making the job get done right

17 degrees off? Do you have a bad distributor gear or what? That should have set a P1345
