sunroof 98 Honda Accord

Can anyone tell me about a sunroof? Just bought this 98 2dr honda coupe for my daughter. 1st week the sunroof/moonroof worked great. Now it won't close all the way. It has 3 buttons. One to slide open (moonroof?), one that just pops the back up (sunroof?) and one to close it. The button that pops open the sunroof does nothing! We bought the wrench that manually closes it. It won't make it close all the way either. Somebody please help. Can't afford to go to the honda dealership. Plus I have this "I told you so" thing going on with my husband. (He did not want to get one with the sunroof) Also I have already checked the fuses. Any other ideas???[/

does sunroof open up?
if it does, try to open sunroof and inspect tracks, something might be stuck in there. while you looking for object in tracks you should lubricate them with Lithium Grease.

It sounds like you have the same problem I had. For some reason there is a screw loose on the driver s side track. Mine came loose and when closing the sunroof, it wouldn't close all the way cause it couldn't get past that screw. Use a phillips screw driver to tighten that screw. I did both sides just to be safe. That was two years ago and I haven't had a problem since. But, make sure you use the screw driver. Don't hand tighten it. I tried that and a few weeks later the screw was so loose it came out of the track and was sitting on the side....
