BACKlighting

hey i hooked up an aftermarket cd player in my car everything works but the dimmer switch and backlighting for the speedometer and rpm gauge and ETS button and hazard and P R N D 3 2 1 dont work, on the wire harness tere were two wires left one for the dimmer and one for illumination but there were no other wires left.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

which of the wires did you connect? leave the dimmer connected and dont use the illumination...its either that or vice versa.....sorry its been a while since i installed a stereo....
