I don't think Kerry has anything to worry about - Detroit votes for democrats like clockwork. The auto unions voted for Gore and he called the internal combustion engine the greatest danger to mankind in history. :screwy:

That was a pretty boneheaded move... You'd think somebody would have checked that at least. Then again, I don't expect it will influence the election.

You mean Moore will try to get in a word sideways while O'Reilly shouts at him for being anti-American and a liberal? :icon16:

I'm suddenly reminded of Al Franken.

actually i saw a clip from it and they were just talking. Now there will propibly be some "louder discusions" but the fighting will go both ways. From what ive heard of Moore, he fight back.

In the past three years, overseas competition has contributed to the loss of 190,000 U.S. auto jobs.

Nicely puts the blame away overseas. Why not just blame the domestic manufacturers for failing to come up with a product that people want at a price they can afford?

What a waste of newspaper space!

Instead of intellegently debating the issues, the reporters are captivated by a pretty picture, and waste our time and theirs.
Morons!

“It was an honest mistake,” spokeswoman Kathy Roder said Saturday. “It was probably done by someone who doesn’t even know what a Rolls-Royce looks like.”

No sh*t.

A lot more than I'd expect from a Republican.

Seriously,is there a story here,or is someone just clutching for scraps of mud to sling? If people are dumb enough to try and make a story out of this, their opinions are pretty worthless. The issues that matter are the lacklustre performance of the incumbent pile of trash, and how the next President intends to fix up some of the damage, not what brand of car appears on a badge in a relatively small and solidly Democrat part of America.

I don't think some of you understand the furor that the rank and file UAW members in Detroit get into over foreign car manufacturers. It raises the ire in the same way wearing an ‘abortion on demand’ button to a pro-life rally.

As for the UAW and CAW claims of 190K lost jobs. They can look at themselves, EPA rules (which is a whole topic on itself), unfair trade practices, mismanagement and a host of others.

After Bush wins the next election we can expect job growth to continue, but if they want the unemployment lines to grow again at the expense of their own jobs, they can vote for Kerry.

And I'm sure someone would come up with a justification for why it's not a bad thing, and how we should all support it.

It was a fuckup in the planning no matter how it happened it was most likely brought up simply for a good laugh. If Bush did it I would find it funny as well. Also Yogs, your sig is fuckin hilarious.

I'll call it as it is, a weak article in the months leading up to an election. I expect to see many more of them, from both sides...

I never said you were a republican, I wouldn't stoop so low as to start hurling personal insults. :lol2:
