how will my escort sound?

If I put a performance exhaust on, will my escort sound like a civic far can, or a WRX? I've heard the car with a big hole in the stock muffler, and wen it starts and low RPMs, it sounds like a WRX. Just wondering.

WRX is turbo'd and a bigger motor, if you do a full exaust, (header pipes muffer) it can sound similar but not exact

ok now i found out. sounds like i hav no muffler on! hahaha. There's not as much sound coming in the cabin as no muffler, but still pretty much. Is that normal for performance exhaust?!? Just wondering. there are 2 times where it becomes real loud, at around 2000-3000 rpm it resonates, and above 5000 rpm its ver loud. Im estimating, since i hav no tach, i base RPM on engine noise.

Well the escort cabins are snuggly sound, if you want good sound, get the resonators on the exhaust line pulled, it sounds great... Get it done at like meineke or some place like that, but the problem is you wont pass inspection...

Do a bolt on cat back. Cat back is strait pipe from the cat to the exhaust. This will sound great. When you need to smog, just slap the old exhaust back on.

I think it would sound okay. I think it is cool that yo are doing that. What yr. is your escort? What kind of exhaust is it? I think it will sound fine.
