I have a 99' Tahoe that needs a new fuel pump along w/a fuel gauge sensor. Does anybody know how difficult would it be to get to these areas of the undercarriage to replace the parts? (The fuel tank runs along the left side of the vehicle.)

The fuel tank needs to be removed.

It's a pain.. Don't run outta gas no more and burn your pump up. Remove the driveshaft, then support the tank with 2x6 and jack, remove straps with 9/16 I believe and lots of extensions, use a impact if ones around, once straps unbolted, lower tank with jack not all the way down, then undo fuel lines, Then pulll tab outta wire harness and unplug wire harness, blow off aroudn the seal, take flathead screwdriver and loosen ring nut, don't move too much and blow off tank again, probably knocked loose grime, while stricking screwdriver with hammer, pull out old pump, put in new O-ring and pump pay attention to which way the pump came out and which way you put in, tighthen ring nut with screwdriver and reverse disasembly.. get a buddy.. put rear of truck way up in the air way up on cinder blocks under rear tires.. Did this twice, hopefully not doing again...
