Front U-jionts

I have a00" Xj with the 4.0 auto. I have been occasionally hearing a sound simular to a CV Jiont going bad. Suspect that my axle U-jionts are in need of changing. Does anyone know what is all involved with this project. Do I need to use a press to remove and install the u-jionts? Thanks in advance.

i dont remember who....i believe it was dave that gave us an excellent link to a page that had a "how to" on replacing CV's. you should search the site and try to find it.

I just replaced the u joints and bearing assembly over the weekend turned out to be a hell of a job, you have to have a press or be good with a hammer and sockets, I used a press. check out the picture at
