I have looked though this board and I could not find this question.. If I duplicate I am truley sorry. I started looking though the a tread about keyless entry but it was 12 pages.
Anywho, I have a new to me 1994 trans sport. When it was purchased no one said anything about a keyless entry. How do I find out if it has one and/or a remote feature for the automatic door? If it does have either do I use the same program method that is listed for the '93? And do I have to use their remote? What does fob stand for???
Thanks in Advance,
E

give me the last 8 digits of your vin # and I can tell you if it has factory keyless entry. A 93 and 94 use the same transmitter, so you could reprogram the van using the 93 instructions if it so equipped and the receiver is still good. Fob doesn't stand for anything, its just what the part that attaches to your key is called

Merely a comment on the word "Fob" - us old blokes who were born before the middle of last century know that men's pants used to have a fob pocket, obstensibly to put your gold watch (on a gold chain) in, but I used mine for coins. The fob pocket was about 2" x 3" and located at the belt line just right of the buttons (not zip). It would have been about the right size for a keyless remote.
That being said I am still looking for programming instructions for my 1994 TranSport. I have removed glove box and found "Train Switch" - but no manual, and no clue on how to program? I have two remotes (Fobs) but don't know if the right ones? Tried all other instructions about the Black/white stripe wire ground etc, but no response?
Any help much appreciated.
