B20/VTEC first start hangs with fast flashing CEL

I've been working on a built B20/VTEC swap into my 94 Integra GSR for what seems like eternity and things are finally coming together. Today I pulled the spark plugs out to prime oil. When I tried to start the car I got a click and a strobe effect on the check engine light. The car sounded as if the starter gave a small turn over and then stopped. After that I get a clicking from the drivers kick panel area when I try to start the car. Also my Apexi SAFC went out. Not good.

So:

Checked the starter connections
Checked all wiring harness connections
Checked battery voltage
Reset ECU
Pulled the ECU out and reconnected
Checked splices on ECU for SAFC
Tried to get any error codes with a paper clip, but there were none still just solid yellow

I've heard from some people that this sounds like a dead main relay. The clicking could be the main relay, but I'm not really sure. Any suggestions?

check all your grounds.

I had a similar problem a while ago, clicking under driver side dash and everything, turned out I forgot to connect one ground on my tranny:loser:

That's really funny because this afternoon I did another check on all my grounds and the tranny ground was loose. I still get a strange CEL, but at least the starter is priming the engine.
