i currently have a 2003 350z touring edition with the bose stereo installed. I purchased the car used so i had no choice in the matter as far as if the car had the bose or not. While the stereo may not be as impressive as most decent aftermarket systems, i do think it is a decent stock stereo. In my previous cars i have replaced the stereo's with badass systems including subs, amps, top of the line speakers, etc. The bose stereo certainly does not match up with stereo's like this. however, for being a completely stock system, i do think that it is decent. The bass isn't going to hit as hard as it would if you had 2 JL Audio subs back there, but it still has a decent punch to it. So basically....it is just decent....i wouldn't call it amazing but i also wouldn't call it crappy....if you are buying your 350z new...you could probably take the money you save from not getting the bose...and spend it on aftermarket stereo components and be better off.....hope this helps...

it has no highs, it has no lows....

... it must be Bose...

There is not a factory sound system (optional upgrades included) that I have ever heard that sounds good. Take it out and replace it.

I think a lot of people don't actually understand what BOSE is about.

We just traded a 2000 G20 for a '03 G35 Coupe 6/MT...Awesome car!! Anyways, it seems the G35's Bose is actually better sounding than the G20's. ?? But back to my beginning comment...I don't think Bose is about brain splattering base/highs. It's about BALANCE. I can listen to a CD in my friends 'thousands-of-dollars system" and yeah, it sounds awesome....to the untrained ear. But then I get in the G and put the same CD in and I can capture sounds that my friend's system drowned out.

Just my thoughts. ;)

Wow! I TOTALLY DISAGREE!!! When listening to music, through the BOSE system, there is SOOOOOOO much trebble that is lost! I think the base is decent, but there is absolutely NO trebble! It wont even produce any of the high range sounds! And sometimes, when it actually attempts to produce one of those sounds, it sound muffled, produced in a lower frequency, and sounds sloppy. My stock system in my EK Honda Civic EX sounded WAY better!

The BOSE system is a joke! It cant even produce correct sounds or play music as it was meant to be.

btw, I've worked at an car audio store before. I'm not an expert, but I have a decent ear for these things.

Also, the base is ok, but the equalizer doesnt distinquish the lows from the mids very well. If you increase the base, it distorts everything else.

Lastly... I dont play my music very loud, but I've tested these speakers, and they cant handle much at all! The limit before it begins to distort is very low and disapointing. Again, my stock speakers in my civic sound better!!!!
