:naughty:Hello my Fellow Aurora Drivers;
Yes,I got the trans fixed $1800.00--Famoys speed sensor and TCM sensors and a few others.
Yes,I replaced the motor mounts $ 500.00
Yes,I replaced the heater Core.$ 525.00
Yes, I am keeping the car, its cheaper than buying a new Cad or Buick at
$20K used or $ 40K new.
In any case, the switch in the door for the heated seats, seat memory and lumbar seat switches, it has gone out.I saw it smoke and go out.
I have the books, but has anyone ever taken off the insert from the door panel. Does it just pop off or the entire door panel needs to come off.
The book is not real clear on this.
Thanks;
Driving along in my Oldsmobile in California land of High gas prices $ 2.24per gallon for 91 octane and roads of that of a third world nation and the Governator Arnold, :screwy:

Let the smoke out... too bad.
I have been able to carefully pry out the insert from the frame and get to the switches. To replace you will have to remove the door panel.
good luck!

To pull out the door panel you have take out a screw out using a phillips screw driver from the handle that opens the door, there is a small rounded thing that pop's out and the unscrew two more screws at the bottom of the door. After the screws pull up the entire panel slowly and it should slide up, then you unplug the wires for the seat controls and windows switch, and you should be all done.
Let me know how it turns out.
Also I have seen that piece on ebay for sale, real cheap too.
You did not mention which side it blew out on you, but my guess is the driver side.
But I found one that is for sale on ebay, it's the passenger one.
Here is a picture of it.
