I passed my ASE certification test for Air conditiong service. I have my certificate!!!

This temporary certificate hereby confirms successful completion of the
online ASE Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Review and quiz. This
program meets Section 609 requirements from the U.S. EPA.

This temporary certificate expires 60 days from the date of quiz
completion. Prior to the expiration of the temporary certificate, you will
receive permanent credentials from ASE by mail. For questions about this
credential, contact ASE Customer Service at 703-669-6600.

Ya I got a question, my ac hasnt worked for years do you think theres still alot of R12 left in it?? I want to dump the AC but dont wanna pay a place a bunch of money to take it all out.

can u devise a way for the a/c to run completely differently and therefore not put stress on teh engine/decrease your gas milage? gas is too damn expensive

Don't dump it, by all means I am not an enviromentalist at all but man, you really have no clue what that crap can do untill you go through an A/C class.


Geno, Ill fix anyting for you for free (Car related, any other problems youll have to take care of yourself.)

A/C don't put that much of a strain on your engine.

also, the next thing that is going to be used for AC is CO2 at extremely high pressures.

congrats HYP, to bad you actualy have to work under an ASE certified tech for two years to actualy be come ASE certified. That was the shit kicker for me. They give you a cert that says you passed there test and can now begin two years of sitting and spin. LOL

yeah so i pulled my a/c the other day. when i did all this, like, air came out right into my face. my skin got a little itchy and now i cant see. is this supposed to happen, what do you think i should do? i mean i cant remove my condenser if i cant see, how do you a/c tech guys do it?

BTW this can happen, the oil/dye they use in A/C systems will blind you.

Im aware that R12 is no good for the outdoors. I work in the HVAC field and have watched my dumb boss throw all kinds of stuff in the garbage. Fridges that are heavy, so he cuts the line and lets the freon out.

Im not removing AC for hp im removing it because I cant get at my spark plugs from up top and it doesnt work, I wouldnt use it anyways, and im tired of the passenger side of my car looking like an abortion.
